Design, Engineering and Construction of glass and otherwise swinging structures

About

Mission Statement:

Develop, Design, Engineer, and Build Glass and Swinging Structures.

Our name says it all: We want to design objects, buildings, and bridges using glass. Even if the design is not solely about glass, we will still make sure it is considered a “swinging structure”. What is a “swinging structure”? The essence is that the user of a “swinging structure” has a positive experience: He or she is pleasantly surprised. It implies that we will respect nature and design as sustainably as is realistically possible, paying attention to circularity and modularity.

Rob and Ate have started a new firm with Peter Eigenraam called ENS engineers (www.ENS-engineers.com). Existing projects will be wrapped up and new projects will be moved to ENS engineers.

Prof. ir. Robert Nijsse

Has decades of experience in the design and engineering of glass structures. As a professor at the faculty of Civil Engineering of Delft University of Technology, he has built up a structural glass education and research program.

In his book “Architect - Structural Engineer” Rob Nijsse gives an overview of acclaimed projects that he has engineered.
